Notice of Public Meeting - Community Improvement Plan Updates

What is a Community Improvement Plan?

A CIP is a tool that allows a municipality to direct funds and implement policy initiatives within a defined area to encourage and facilitate revitalization and stimulate development and redevelopment.

What type of updates are being proposed?

Tax Increment Equivalent Grants have been included within the updated Community Improvement Plan to support large scale economic development opportunities, as well as affordable housing projects. These Tax Increment Grants are intended to offset the increase in municipal taxes as a result of the development. Grants for Additional Residential Units have also been introduced.
