Middlesex Centre's first Seniors Centre will open in Ilderton this September!
The Seniors Centre is a dedicated space for older adults 55+ to gather for recreational, educational, and social programs and activities. It is located on the Ilderton Arena property and will make use of the youth centre and the community centre.
Thanks to funding from the Government of Ontario, the centre features new exercise equipment and other supplies. The funding is also allowing us to offer low-cost programs including chair yoga, a knitting circle, and fraud prevention workshops. In addition to these programs, there will be informal activities like cards, crafts, and walking groups.
If this program is successful, more centres may open in other communities in future.
