Middlesex Centre has joined Middlesex County and the other local municipalities in a shared approach to supporting safe, healthy and connected communities through the 2026–2031 Middlesex Community Safety and Well-Being Plan.
The plan was developed as a joint initiative between Middlesex County and all eight local municipalities, with support from community and institutional partners. It draws on local data, community engagement, municipal plans and initiatives, and input from partners to identify priorities for community safety and well-being.
The plan focuses on six interconnected priority areas:
- Housing stability and homelessness
- Child, youth and family well-being
- Access to services and mobility
- Economic well-being
- Mental health and addictions
- Violence prevention
Each priority is considered through a rural lens, recognizing the unique challenges and opportunities of rural communities.
Middlesex County will coordinate monitoring of the plan, with progress reported annually to County Council and local municipal councils.
