Following the opening ceremonies at the Ilderton 150 Celebration on Saturday, July 11, 50 Ilderton and Area community groups shared a landmark donation of $1 million.
Minor sports and youth organizations, fire associations, churches and cemeteries, and many other groups each received $20,000 towards their programs.
The donations were made by longtime local resident Glenn Powell, who wanted to give back to the community that has been so important in his life.
