
These free information sessions provide seniors with tips, tools and strategies to protect themselves from being the victim of fraud, The sessions will be led by Tom Cheel, Senior Volunteer from the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre. His background includes many years of service with the Toronto Police Service including as a detective, time as a financial crime investigator with Scotiabank and working with ICICI Bank.
1. Monday, November 6 . "Fraud Awareness for Seniors”. Power point presentation and is a prerequisite for all senior’s groups - approximately 60 - 75 minutes in length and provides information on current scams and how we as seniors can avoid becoming victims.
2. Monday, November 20. “Password and Internet Safety”. Is a power point presentation - approximately 60 minutes in length and provides information on computer safety including safe passwords and computer tips.
