As of Wednesday, July 15, 2026, an outdoor burn ban is in effect for Middlesex Centre and all of Middlesex County.
Middlesex Centre Fire Services is permitting small, backyard recreational fires at this time, but they may be included in the ban at a later date if the dry spell continues.
- Recreational fires MUST follow the rules outlined in the Open Air Burn By-law.
- Review the Open Air Burn Quick Guide before starting your fire.
Note that campgrounds and conservation areas may have bans on all fires on their property. Please check with your campground host or the conservation authority that manages the site you are visiting.
