The Upper Thames Regional Conservation Authority (UTRCA) will be undertaking spraying to control invasive phragmites in roadside ditches along municipal roads in the northern part of Middlesex Centre.
Invasive species such as phragmites pose significant risks to ecosystems and public health. Management efforts will help improve native biodiversity, protect wildlife habitat, and enhance water quality.
- Location: roadside ditches in the area west of Prospect Hill Rd., east of Vanneck Rd. south of Elginfield Rd., and north of the Thames River (former London Township)
- Expected Start Date: September 21, 2026 (subject to weather conditions).
