Mayor Aina DeViet opened the meeting by congratulating Ilderton Arena Supervisor Reid Thomas on receiving the Ontario Recreation Facilities Association’s 2025 Don Harrison Energy Champion Award. Reid was recognized for his contributions to the Ilderton Arena renovation project, which resulted in significant improvements to energy efficiency and facility energy management.
The Mayor also brought attention to the upcoming Ilderton Arena grand re-opening, happening March 12, 2026.
Council Business
During the meeting, Council:
- Mike DeVos of Spriet Associates provided an overview of the resubmitted Engineer's Report for the Ballymote Municipal Drain. The Court of Revision for the drain work will meet on April 8, 2026.
- Sitting as the Court of Revision, approved the Schedule of Assessment for the Dale Municipal Drain.
- Received the capital budget-to-actual Q4 2025 preliminary report.
- Received the 2025 council remuneration, customer service, and the diversity, equity, and inclusion reports.
- Received an update on the Fire Services Master Plan.
- Adopted the updated Procurement of Goods and Services Policy.
- Received an update on unassumed subdivisions within Middlesex Centre.
- Authorized the purchase of a replacement ice resurfacer be awarded to Zamboni Company Ltd. in the amount of $192,118 (including municipal portion of HST).
