Council Business

  • Received Middlesex Centre’s annual energy consumption report for January – December 2024, as required by the Ministry of Energy.
  • Received the budget to actual for June 2025.
  • Received the summary report of building activity for the first half of 2025. Overall, permit activity has increased from levels seen in 2024. These include permits increasing to 193 from 178, dwelling units increasing to 40 from 30, and construction values increasing to $59 million from $41 million.
  • Council also received Building Service’s mid-year by-law enforcement summary. In 2025, there have been 137 calls to by-law enforcement so far, with 41 of those calls related to planning compliances within Middlesex Centre.
  • Received the Municipal Emergency Management Compliance Report for 2024. The Municipality of Middlesex Centre, through its Emergency Management Program Committee (EMPC), has successfully met all compliance requirements set by Emergency Management Ontario (EMO) for 2024.
  • Adopted Middlesex Centre’s fleet replacement guidelines. All future fleet replacement recommendations will be based off the fleet replacement guidelines and subject to Council approval through the budget process, or as otherwise approved by Council.

Planning Matters

Council received a draft plan of subdivision and zoning by-law amendment (ZBA) for the land known municipally as 10242 Glendon Drive (County Road 14) for information only.

Next Council Meeting

The next meeting of Middlesex Centre Council is set for Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., held at the municipal office.
