Avoid Non-Essential Water Use on August 11
Middlesex Centre is asking all residents and businesses to avoid non-essential water use while emergency repairs are completed on the pipeline that delivers water to the municipality's distribution system from the Lake Huron Primary Water Supply System (LHPWSS).
The repairs will take place on Tuesday, August 11, between midnight and 9:00 p.m.
During the repair period, Middlesex Centre's water system will not receive water from the Lake Huron supply and will rely on stored water reserves. While drinking water will continue to be safe and reliable, residents and businesses are asked to postpone non-essential water use until the repairs are complete. This will help maintain water supplies for essential needs.
Examples of non-essential water use include:
- Watering lawns and gardens
- Washing vehicles
- Filling or topping up swimming pools and hot tubs
- Washing patios, driveways, and other outdoor surfaces
- Other outdoor water uses that can be delayed
