Update: November 14, 2025
Water service has been restored as of 5:56 am today. Please note that Glendon Drive remains closed at this time. We recommend running the lowest tap in your home for five minutes to clear any air that may be in the lines.
For residents of Kilworth
Thursday, November 13 to Friday, November 14, 2025 (overnight)
- The isolation of the watermain supplying water to Kilworth is required to complete watermain upgrades.
- All Kilworth water services will be shut off temporarily between 10:00 pm Thursday, November 13 and 5:00 am Friday, November 14, 2025. NOTE DATE HAS CHANGED SINCE ORIGINAL ANNOUCEMENT DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER.
- While every effort will be made to complete the work on time, it may be necessary to have the water off longer.
- Additionally, this work will require Glendon Dr. to be closed overnight and into the next morning. Middlesex County expects Glendon Dr. to be closed between Crestview Dr. and Springfield Way from Thursday, November 13 at 11:00 pm until Friday, November 14 at 12:00 pm (noon). Please see the County of Middlesex's Facebook Page for updates.
If your property is affected by a water shut off
We suggested that a short-term water supply be stored before the interruption for use during the shut off.
When the water is turned back on, air in the pipes may make the water cloudy and your plumbing may vibrate or make noise. If this happens, you can remove the air by briefly turning on your taps from the lowest to the highest faucet in the building (that is, starting in the basement/first floor, and finishing on the top floor). Flush the toilets as well. You should only have to run the water for 10 to 30 seconds, but keep running it until the water is clear and any vibration or noise has stopped.
We apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause and will work to restore your water service as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience.
